Tom Mead is a UK-based author who specializes in writing locked-room mysteries, a subgenre of detective fiction in which a crime—almost always murder—is committed under circumstances that make it seem impossible for the perpetrator to have escaped from the scene of the crime, and subsequently caught.

Mead is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association and the International Thriller Writers’ Organization. His debut novel, “Death and the Conjuror”, was published in 2022, and has quickly established him as a promising writer in the world of mystery fiction.
