Christopher Paolini is an American novelist and screenwriter, renowned for his series “The Inheritance Cycle”. Born and raised in the Paradise Valley, Montana, Paolini penned the first volume of the series, “Eragon,” at a young age. The novel, initially self-published by his family’s publishing company, quickly became a phenomenon following its re-release by Knopf. Paolini’s world of Alagaësia, inhabited by dragons, elves, and other mystical beings, expanded with subsequent volumes “Eldest,” “Brisingr,” and “Inheritance.” In 2018, he released “The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm,” a collection of short stories adding depth to the lore of Alagaësia. Paolini also ventured into science fiction with his novel “To Sleep in a Sea of Stars,” part of the Fractalverse series.
